Jewish Connection Experiences

Jewish Connection Experiences are integral parts of the children’s learning. They are opportunities for the children and their families to have authentic Jewish experiences together with our community. For example, rather than talking about Shabbat in a classroom during the week, children will experience Shabbat in real time. We see these experiences as a core part of the children’s learning journey and it is expected that all children attend.

The Jewish Connection Experiences in any given age group include celebrations of Shabbat and holidays, opportunities to do community service work outside of TBS, or field trips relevant to their learning projects. Some of the Jewish Connection Experiences are offered for whole families, and others just for the children.

Jewish Connection Experiences are included in the Shorashim yearly calendar that families receive in August.
